Hudson Wikoff Run my numbers

Built by the Trades

Software for one industry
and nobody else.

Nine products, the outside certification each one has to clear, and what they actually do for a shop like yours.

Built by the Trades

The company I build with

Software for one industry
and nobody else.

Most software for the trades is generic business software with a truck on the homepage. Built by the Trades started the other way round: an owner who spent four years doing his overhead math by hand every thirty days, because no tool on the market would do it right. That became a product. Then eight of them.

I'm a partner there and I run product and development. Everything on this page — the numbers, the certifications, the AI you'd watch me run on stage — comes out of that shop.

01

TrueQuote

Instant quoting

A customer on your website gets a real price in under a minute, priced off your own pricebook — while they're still on the page instead of waiting on a callback.

02

TradeRated

Reviews & referrals

Your tech asks for the review on the job, from their phone, before they leave. Every review then lands on a site you own instead of only on rented land.

03

ServiceDash

Dispatch

Jobs that come looking for you. On-demand work routed to the truck that can actually take it, instead of a dispatcher guessing.

04

Goose

Sales coaching

An AI coach that drills your CSRs and techs on their own real calls, every day, and reviews the tape the moment they hang up.

05

TradeGames

Gamification

Contests, leaderboards and screens on the shop wall. Whatever you already measure becomes the thing the crew competes on, with a prize attached.

06

Profit Wizard

Profit & pricing

Prices up from your true cost to a real net target instead of guessing at a markup — with overhead pulled straight from your books, not typed in.

07

BudgetGenius

Budgeting

Turns the yearly target into a number for each tech, each day, weighted by season and capacity so it's hittable in February and in July.

08

Canary

Monitoring

The hardware piece. Eyes on the property around the clock, turning a one-time customer into a recurring one.

And the ninth The platform itself. One login puts your whole company into all eight, and they pass information between each other instead of sitting in eight separate tabs with eight separate passwords.

Four are certified and in customers' hands today. The rest come through the same gate, in order, and none of them reach a customer before they do.

Why I'll put it on a stage without flinching

Nine defects. That's the whole allowance.

Software for the trades has a reputation, and it was earned. So we don't grade our own homework — an outside QA firm that has tested thousands of applications certifies every one of ours before a customer ever touches it.

2,000+

Workflows inside a single one of our applications — every path a real business can take through it.

9 or fewer

Defects allowed across all of them. Ten, and it doesn't certify. That's the bar, and it doesn't move.

3 certifications

Every product has to clear all three, separately, from an outside firm with thousands of applications behind them.

Three products hold all three certifications today. TrueQuote has cleared functional and is in the middle of the other two. The rest come through the same gate in order, and none of them reach a customer before they do.

And the bigger one

Compliance is the next moat.

Certification proves the software works. Compliance proves the company running it can be trusted with your customers' data — and it's the thing every serious buyer, partner and acquirer asks for first.

Underway — kicked off Q3 2026

SOC 2 Type I

An independent auditor verifies our security controls are designed correctly, across every product in the suite. Not one flagship product — all of them.

Straight after

SOC 2 Type II

The harder one. Same controls, but proven to have actually operated over a period of months. You can't cram for it.

Then

ISO 27001

The international standard for running a security program, plus its companion standard alongside it. Overkill for the trades, which is precisely the point.

What's actually on my board

Not a bio. This is the live list — what I'm building, where I'm standing, and what I'm shipping this quarter.

Built by the Trades

Nine products, one crew

I run product and development for a software suite made only for home-service businesses: instant quoting, reviews and referrals, profit, budgeting, sales coaching, gamification, dispatch, and property monitoring — all on one platform. Each piece is great at a single job. Together they run the business.

SpeakingThis week

The HUGE Convention, Orlando

"Meet Your AI Crew: Watch AI Go to Work on a Real Business." Friday, 4:00 PM — the last session before the hall closes. No frameworks. A room full of owners watches AI sell, review, and coach in real time. One of them sells an AI prospect on stage.

The Review Gap Audit

I sit down with the owner and we reverse-engineer the business — where the leads go, where they die, what it's costing. You leave with a written game plan. Where one of our nine tools is the answer I'll name it; where the fix is free and you can run it yourself, I'll tell you that instead.

The AI Machine-Run Master Plan

The playbook I wrote for home-service owners — what to automate first, what to never hand over, and how to tell the difference before it costs you a year and a payroll to find out.
